Social Programme

Below, you can find an overview of the social activities that we have planned for you. In contrast with the rest of the conference, these are all optional and we will send out a doodle in January to see who is interested in attending these activities.

Please note that any confirmation in the doodle is final (unless you get ill) as we have worked hard to make these events possible. This means that if you sign up and don’t show up, you might not get your travel support!

Thursday 16 February 2017: Kick off Pub

The LOC has organised a pub for you in collaboration with the Geology Club. Come join us for some nice music and networking to kick-start the YES meeting! Food and drinks are available at student friendly prices.

Friday 17 February 2017: Pub and Science Slam

Ever wanted to present your research in a way that makes people laugh? Come and try your best at the Science Slam! Organised by the LOC in collaboration with the Science Faculty Club. Never seen a Science Slam before? Check out this nice example for the upcoming Science Slam at SETAC Europe in Brussels here.

Instructions for the Science Slam will follow soon so keep an eye on our webpage and social media feeds!

Saturday 18 February 2017: Dinner and Student Party

The LOC has organised a dinner for you in the Green Villa on the campus, followed by a party. Expect good food, great music, even better company and drinks at student friendly prices!

Monday 20 February 2017: Pub Crawl

After 5 days of hard work, it’s time to blow off some steam and go explore the nightlife that Stockholm has to offer. The LOC will take you into town and show you some of the better pubs that they have come to know. A great way to close off the conference with all your new friends!

Tuesday 21 February 2017: City Tour

Together with local guides from Stockholm, we offer a short tour of the city for those that are still in Stockholm!
